Veterinary Technician - Surgery

Job Description Oakhurst Veterinary Hospital, an AAHA-accredited, Fear-Free, Cat-Friendly practice, is seeking passionate and dedicated Overnight Veterinary Technicians to join our modern, state-of-the-art facility near Asbury Park, NJ. Our hospital is a large, well-established general practice with 12 doctors, a vibrant team culture, and a commitment to continuing education, mentorship, and professional growth. What You'll Do: • Provide compassionate overnight care to hospitalized patients and medical boarders as the PM Doctors and technician finish up their days and then after hours while the Hospital is closed for appointments and phone calls. • Monitor, document, and perform treatments on patients at scheduled times. • Handle emergencies confidently and communicate updates to the on-call veterinarian. • Operate oxygen/anesthesia machines, monitoring equipment, and utilize electronic medical records. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment, including routine cleaning and facility upkeep.
