Moog’s Military Aircraft Group is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead high‑impact sourcing initiatives across our global supply chain. In this role, you will own the development and execution of strategic sourcing strategies, drive long‑term supplier partnerships, negotiate complex agreements, and influence stakeholders at all levels to deliver strong business results.
As a Strategic Sourcing Manager, you will:
  • Develop and lead multi‑category strategic sourcing plans aligned with business and supply chain objectives.
  • Execute the full strategic sourcing lifecycle, including strategy development, supplier identification and evaluation, spend and market analysis, and negotiation of long‑term agreements covering pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and quality standards.
  • Influence cross‑functional stakeholders and facilitate supplier engagement sessions to align requirements, mitigate risks, and drive measurable outcomes.
  • Conduct global market research to identify competitive, capable, and sustainable suppliers that enhance business value and support diversity initiatives.
  • Run RFQs and assess supplier capabilities, risk, cost structure, and service models with a focus on total cost of ownership.
  • Develop supply channels, KPIs, and improvement initiatives that strengthen TCO, support continuous improvement, foster innovation, and reduce supply chain risk.
  • Build and manage strategic supplier partnerships that enhance capability, cost competitiveness, and long‑term business advantage.
  • Monitor supplier performance through KPIs, audits, and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership, including performance trends and opportunities to strengthen the supply chain.
To be considered for this role, here’s what you’ll typically bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • More than seven years of progressive experience in manufacturing or a related industry.
  • Strong negotiation skills and working knowledge of procurement and contractual law.
  • Excellent understanding of contractual requirements, business systems, and supply chain processes.

It'd be great, if you had:
  • Professional certifications in Purchasing or Supply Chain.
  • Master’s degree in Business or a related field.

Salary Range Transparency:
Buffalo, NY $95,000.00–$130,000.00 Annually

Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
