As an Independent Living Skills Trainer ( ILST ), Recovery Assistant ( RA ), Companion, Direct Support Professional ( DSP ), or Personal Care Assistant ( PCA ), you will be a crucial part of our team, offering calm, consistent care while fostering understanding and growth. Your role is not to control or manage, but to guide clients with empathy, helping them navigate challenges while providing the stability they need.

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Consistent Support: Provide balanced, calm, and reliable assistance with daily tasks, helping clients maintain structure and progress in their recovery.
  • Professional Friendship: Build strong, supportive relationships without control, offering emotional and practical support in a way that empowers clients.
  • Daily Living Assistance: Assist with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and keeping the living environment organized, ensuring clients are engaged in the process.
  • Health and Wellness Management: Help clients manage medical appointments and encourage physical and social activity, providing guidance without being overbearing.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Ideally, you have 2 to 3 years experience in disability care, but the most important quality is compassion and an understanding approach.
  • Requirements: A valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a reference from a personal or professional contact.
  • Age: Must be at least 18 years old.
