Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager

Our client, a pioneering firm in the renewable energy sector, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead complex projects within their fully remote operational structure. This role is critical for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale renewable energy installations, from feasibility studies through to commissioning. You will manage project timelines, budgets, resources, and stakeholder relationships, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, regulatory requirements, and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, etc.), robust project management skills, and proven leadership capabilities in a remote environment.

Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of renewable energy projects, including site assessment, design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, fostering effective collaboration in a remote setting. Manage relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Ensure projects comply with all relevant safety, environmental, and quality standards. Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for project challenges. Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed. Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders. Evaluate and select appropriate renewable energy technologies and solutions. Manage contract negotiations and ensure favorable terms with vendors and partners. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Environmental Science, or a related field. Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in project management within the renewable energy industry. Proven experience managing complex, large-scale renewable energy projects (e.g., solar farms, wind projects). Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, grid integration, and power systems. Expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile). PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera). Ability to manage budgets and financial forecasts effectively.
