Senior Product Operations Manager

Overview Role Overview We are seeking a Senior & Principal Product Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving the efficiency and effectiveness of our product management team across the product development lifecycle. You will be among the first hired into a newly forming Product Operations (Product Ops) function as we seek to scale and improve our Product Management craft across more than 400+ Product Managers worldwide. You will be responsible for managing complex program delivery, providing structure, and ensuring timely execution by a cohort of volunteer PMs. Your expertise will help us maximise internally crowd sourced contributions and increase the effectiveness of our strategic programs. Your experience with new AI tools and AI first ways of working will help you shape the future of product management at Atlassian and beyond. Responsibilities • Product Management Craft Improvement Initiatives: Research, review and make recommendations and own improvement initiatives to maximise their impact and effectiveness. Create and communicate effective content that changes behaviour and leads PMs to take action to increase their impactfulness. • Program Management: Manage the execution of strategic programs. Implement governance, processes, and structures to ensure quality and timely delivery. • AI Integration: Leverage AI tools and technologies to enhance product management impact and streamline operations. Evolve the product management craft as it is accelerated and redefined by AI. • Volunteer Coordination: Identify, engage, and manage a cohort of volunteer PMs to contribute effectively to various initiatives. • Tool and Process Improvement: Oversee the development and improvement of PM tools, processes, metrics, and practices. Ensure that these enhancements align with the overall strategic goals of the organisation. • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align on program objectives and ensure harmonious execution. Qualifications Qualifications: • Proven experience in product operations or program management within a tech company. • Strong understanding of product management craft. • High familiarity with PM tools and in particular AI tools and their application in product management. • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across execution teams as well as stakeholders. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • A passion for helping product managers ship the best products of their careers. Preferred Qualifications: • Ability to work autonomously and drive impactful changes across the organisation. • Experience in managing volunteer-based contributions and initiatives in large organisations Compensation At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are: Zone A: $136,800 - $178,600 Zone B: $123,300 - $160,975 Zone C: $114,300 - $149,225 This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
