Search Engine Optimization Manager

Position Summary The SEO Manager is responsible for the development and execution of SEO strategies for individual clients of Rocket Clicks. SEO Manager actively engage in SEO analysis and strategy on a daily basis to drive the necessary performance results for their clients. Their attendance and participation in both internal sprint meetings and client calls supports the Account Manager in fostering client confidence. The SEO Manager also prioritizes the most critical tasks, finding efficiencies through automation and delegation to support team members. Performance Objectives • Own strategic decisions within organic search optimization including technical SEO, on-page optimizations, and linking development • Execute Rocket Clicks playbook for the particular client industry • Ensure account execution follows company First Principles methodology • Analyze performance data for monthly and quarterly reporting • Own and delegate SEO tasks within weekly sprint planning framework • Ideate experiments for client accounts designed to produce the highest likelihood of performance improvement • Work with design and editing partners to ensure content is using the most search-friendly creative • Act as Quality Assurance for all conversion tracking, quickly identifying breaks that would render reporting less valuable • Document client-specific tasks for delegation to other team members • Attend client meetings as subject matter expert • Audit other client accounts and prospect accounts for opportunity harvesting and strategy validation • Contribute to iterative documentation improvements of industry team and organic search discipline Capabilities & Key Competencies • Successfully manage SEO campaigns across 10-20 brands and accounts, ensuring efficient resource allocation and maximum return on investment. • Craft and implement cohesive, multi-platform SEO strategies that enhance organic visibility and support overall digital marketing goals. • Possess a deep understanding of the modern digital customer acquisition funnel and its intersection with SEO tactics. • Strong technical SEO skills, demonstrated through experience with schema markup, site architecture, internal and external linking strategies, page redirects and status codes, crawl budget, HTML/CSS, etc. • Maintain a detailed six-month roadmap of SEO initiatives and tasks, aligning with business objectives and adapting to market trends. • Track, manage, and report on defined SEO performance KPIs, leveraging insights to optimize strategies and drive improvements. • Conduct strategic forecasting and budget planning for SEO efforts on six-month or longer timeframes to ensure sustained growth. • Set up and troubleshoot conversion tracking for digital analytics, ensuring accurate data collection to inform SEO decisions. • Demonstrate expertise with key SEO tools and platforms such as arenaflex Search Console, Ahrefs, and SEMrush to enhance performance analysis and reporting. • Work closely with paid search and social experts to integrate SEO strategies with paid efforts for a comprehensive digital marketing approach.
