Remote - Lead Data Product Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION What does a Lead Data Product Manager do at Green Dot? The Lead Data Product Manager will be responsible for the work associated with building healthy data platforms. This position will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure all stakeholder requirements are met related to data storage and data consumption from both operational and analytical standpoint. This role advocates for the customer experience to create the data product roadmap and ensures all capabilities are delivered in line with customer and business needs. The Lead Data Product Manager must be a dynamic, data driven, and critical thinker with analytical experience. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong technical acumen, creative problem-solving skills, and experience leading complex initiatives across multiple teams. The person who fills this role will partner with leaders to understand data needs and support the businesses through data-driven initiatives. As a Lead Data Product Manager, you can look forward to: • Lead the continued build of a scalable data delivery and analytics platform • Collaborate with key stakeholders and connect product, business, technology, engineering, data, analytics and reporting teams together to articulate the big picture data needs across the cross functional group • Convert reporting demands into product requirements, determine new use case needs, and work with technology on the delivery • Ideate and create the development of roadmaps for the deployment of automation technologies and monitor production implementation • Develop and enforce data integration and data quality standards across all development initiatives • Keep accountable for a data governance model that protects the data assets while allowing for growth and transformation • Socialize and adopt new automation technologies for the aggregation of data to garner and create insights • Lead/contribute the data standards across the company especially defining critical meta data elements and master data management. • Lead the enterprise data governance policy defining internal processes, policies, defined roles, metrics, and compliance standards that organizations use to manage, access, and secure enterprise data. You might be the right match for this role if you: Have a proven track record with excellent verbal and written communication and are adept at developing relationships and working cross-functionally across a variety of teams. You have solid skills with planning, roadmap planning, priority setting, and translating requirements into product builds. You thrive in an ambiguous state and can translate very high-level requirements into product solutions. You have experience delivering products in a fast-paced environment. You have a customer first mindset. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Business Analytics, Data Science or a related field • 5+ years of product management experience required • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams • Working knowledge of JIRA • Working knowledge of SQL and MicroStrategy • Strong written and oral communication skills • Have 5-7 years of experience in defining vision and data roadmap from operational data needs to analytical data to consumption of the data by working with stakeholders/partners , managing backlog, adhering to data security/privacy and compliance, defining data KPIs to measure success • Experience in understanding and correcting data and process discrepancies, identifying anomalies, root cause analysis, identifying solution alternatives, and driving resolution • Must be able to work on the business through transformation, while also be comfortable rolling up their sleeves and leading day to day activities; strategic doer mindset Not Required but Helpful Qualifications • Master's degree in Information Management, Business Analytics, Data Science or a related field • Previous experience in financial services or fintech • Previous experience in product transformations POSITION TYPE Regular PAY RANGE The targeted base salary for this position is $109,300 to $163,900 per year. The final compensation will be determined by a number of factors such as qualifications, expertise, and the candidate's geographical location.
