Remote Hygiene and Sanitation Specialist

Our client is seeking a meticulous and knowledgeable Hygiene and Sanitation Specialist to join their operations team in a fully remote capacity. This role is crucial for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and public health across all managed facilities. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring comprehensive hygiene and sanitation protocols. This position requires a deep understanding of public health regulations, best practices in cleaning and disinfection, and a proactive approach to maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain robust hygiene and sanitation programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify potential contamination sources and areas for improvement. Develop and deliver training programs on hygiene and sanitation best practices for staff. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfection procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant local, national, and international health and safety regulations. Recommend and source appropriate cleaning chemicals, equipment, and technologies. Investigate and report on hygiene-related incidents or complaints. Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities, inspections, and training. Collaborate with facility management and operational teams to address hygiene challenges. Stay informed about new trends, technologies, and regulations in the field of hygiene and sanitation. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related scientific field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and managing hygiene and sanitation programs, preferably in hospitality, healthcare, or food service industries. In-depth knowledge of sanitation principles, infectious disease control, and chemical safety. Experience with risk assessment methodologies and quality management systems. Familiarity with relevant regulatory bodies and standards (e.g., WHO, local health authorities). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, vital for remote reporting and training. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and maintain detailed records. Proficiency in relevant software for documentation and reporting. Certification in a relevant field (e.g., Certified Infection Control Professional) is a plus.
