Job Description

Migori Country Lodge is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to start their career in the hospitality industry and develop essential customer service and administrative skills. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience from arrival to departure. Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a pleasant first impression.
  • Manage guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently, accurately processing payments and issuing keys.
  • Handle all incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate departments, and take messages when necessary.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, provide information about lodge services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Process reservations, modifications, and cancellations, ensuring all details are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain an organized and tidy front desk area, ensuring a professional appearance at all times.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing incoming/outgoing mail.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and requests with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with other lodge departments (housekeeping, dining, security) to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of room availability, rates, and special promotions.
  • Adhere to all lodge policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.

Required Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Swahili.
