Professional Consulting Veterinarian ( Remote) - Contract

Job Title: Professional Consulting Veterinarian ( Remote) Location: Fully remote Duration: 10 weeks Shift: 8am– 5pm 20 hours a week - flexible on the days; Expansion to 40 hours a week will be possible. No overtime beyond 40 hours Minimum Education: DVM Asset – Hills Pet Nutrition | Company will provide all the necessary devices for the person to perform on the job. Email setup - Person will be provided a business partner Hills corporate email, given its temporary position. Travel Expectations - This person is supposed to be covering the south and central / east coast of Florida. Any travels required, Hills Pet Nutrition | Company will provide lodging, travel, and transportation support. Meals are not included in this package Essential Duties/Responsibilities: 30% Key Thought Leaders and Specialty Practices • Establish influential relationships with Key Thought Leaders in specialty hospitals and academia. Identify opportunities to deliver relevant continuing education and engage KTLs in Hills' initiatives. Promote active recommendation and endorsement of Hill's products. • Call on specialty hospital customers with appropriate frequency, in person and/or virtually, based on tier. Educate and implement initiatives that result in an active Hill's recommendation from the veterinary healthcare team. Increase Hill's sales and market share with assigned specialty hospital customers. 50% Market Area Support • Partner with the Market Area team to increase sales and market share and establish Hill's as the preferred partner with pet retail and veterinary healthcare teams, to help achieve team performance goals. Deliver appropriate education, technical coaching, and training to meet customer needs. • Effectively utilize digital tools to improve educational reach and influence. • Support Territory Managers' technical, nutritional, and product expertise with education and training during district meetings, conference calls, and while working together in person and virtually. • Work closely with the Regional Sales Manager to identify and prioritize business needs and implement strategies. Collaboratively plan and participate in district customer events that will increase product sales and market share. 20% Regional, National, and Corporate Customer Activities • Develop working relationships with local and regional veterinary associations to identify, arenaflex, and prioritize opportunities that support Hill's strategies. • Partner with US Marketing and Retail Marketing teams to provide customer insight and technical support for Hill's products and programs. • Represent Hill's at assigned regional and national veterinary conferences and corporate customer meetings. • Serve on project teams, deliver webinars, and support Hill's customer tours as assigned. Other Required Experience/Qualifications: KSAs Required/Preferred: Able to work independently to manage a demanding schedule with irregular hours and to manage travel within geography/region. Required Able to fulfill travel requirements of the position (on average 2-3 nights per week ( will vary). Required Strong work ethic, professional appearance and demeanor, high integrity. Required Excellent relationship building, influence, and negotiation skills. Required Excellent business presentation skills.
