Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

Job Summary: The individual will oversee and direct all aspects of production and inventory operations within a designated area, ensuring efficient and timely completion of manufacturing processes while maintaining high quality standards and maximizing productivity.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Develops and implements production schedules, monitors progress, and adjusts plans as needed to meet deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  • Leads and motivates a team of production workers, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and procedures, conducts inspections, and investigates and resolves quality issues
  • Oversees the warehouse management process to ensure procedures are adhered to.
  • Identifies ways to reduce completion times of annual inventory initiatives.
  • Maintains a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety regulations, conducting safety training, and investigating accidents.
  • Oversees the maintenance and repair of production equipment, ensuring proper functioning and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitors inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure adequate supply and minimize waste.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement, implements lean manufacturing principles, and drives 5S initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Effectively communicates with other departments (e.g., engineering, quality control, maintenance) to ensure smooth production flow and address any challenges.
  • Act as backup for supervisor in other areas

Minimum Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, or similar role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software (e.g., ERP systems (preferably SAP, office suite).
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
