Manager, Global Commodity Management, Amazon Prime Air. Build the Commodity Strategy for Drone Delivery. Lead a team of senior commodity managers to develop and execute sourcing strategies for Prime Air's drone delivery system, negotiate and manage contracts, and drive procurements and ordering/scheduling from suppliers. Optimize supplier performance, drive cost efficiency, and ensure partnerships to scale production and new product introductions across the US and Europe.

Key responsibilities- Lead and Develop High-Performing Commodity Managers: Manage and mentor a team of Senior Global Commodity Managers. Build capabilities to dive deep across business lines, leverage our supplier base, and optimize performance, quality, efficiency, and cost.
- Drive Global Sourcing Strategy: Develop and execute sourcing strategies that deliver against Prime Air’s business plans and objectives. Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Optimize Supplier Performance and Cost: Use RFx processes, spend pattern analysis, contract evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation to drive measurable results. Work with business and finance leaders to identify savings opportunities and controllership improvements that maximize ROI and total cost of ownership.
- Earn Trust with Business Partners: Establish enduring relationships with internal stakeholders across Prime Air. Build deep understanding of commodities, strategic direction, requirements, and priorities to become a trusted advisor on sourcing strategy development and execution.
- Mitigate Third-Party Risk: Engage Legal, Tax, Risk, and Information Security to evaluate and develop strategies that protect Prime Air while enabling supplier partnerships to flourish.

About the teamOur commodity management team is passionate about Prime Air’s mission of ultra-fast delivery. Our supplier base spans the US, Europe, and Asia, giving you global exposure and the opportunity to work with leading firms across specialized technology firms, consumer electronics, aerospace and service companies.
QualificationsBasic Qualifications- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership while working cross-functionally across several teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or Business Administration
- 7+ years of strategic sourcing experience including vendor negotiations, global contract management, procurement ordering / scheduling, and process improvement
- 7+ years of experience in new product introduction, procurement, supply chain, inventory management, and operations
- Proven ability to own supply chain strategy end-to-end and communicate results to senior leadership
- Experience with operational and financial analysis
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or Operations
- Expertise in supply chain management concepts including forecasting, planning, sourcing, optimization, and logistics
- Strong background in supply chain, operational, cost, and financial analysis
- Experience with best-in-class procurement processes such as category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFx, reverse auctions, and contracting
- Track record of developing tools, reports, process maps, scorecards, and data visualizations to drive decision-making

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
