Duties

  • Perform professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to client needs
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual concerns, medical history, and treatment goals
  • Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness
  • Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and treatment plans in compliance with health regulations
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and clinic policies
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers or specialists to optimize patient outcomes
  • Stay current with industry trends, new techniques, and continuing education requirements to enhance your skills

Qualifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification to practice legally
  • Proven experience in patient service and customer care within a medical spa or wellness setting
  • Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy
  • Expertise in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy for effective pain management
  • Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on empathetic patient service and education
  • Prior experience in occupational health or med spa environments is preferred but not required
