Leakage Inspector

Job Summary

Essential Functions

  • Performs leakage inspections on all distribution facilities

  • Perform clerical maintenance of repetitive tasks and compliance documentation, and monitor workplan

  • Perform Patrolling / continual monitoring of facilities for update of risk and compliance frequency

  • Support internal stakeholders during emergencies, perform gas analysis, support on supplemental survey

  • Calibrates and makes minor repairs to inspection instruments and gas detection devices.


Required Qualifications For Position

  • High School Diploma High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Must have strong decision making and problem-solving skills.

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to write legibly in order to make clear and concise reports and sketchers.

  • Must be able to accurately interpret maps in order to prepare and update leakage maps.

  • Must be able to use probe bar, carry ten (10) pound leak detector for long periods of time, complete sustained walking assignments, negotiate a variety of terrains and building structures, and work outside in all weather conditions.

  • Working hours: Monday through Friday - 8:00am-4:30pm.

  • Must be able to respond to emergency calls and work scheduled and non-scheduled overtime at the applicable overtime rate.

  • Please note that hours during training may be different than posted.

  • To serve customers' needs, it may be necessary for incumbent to work a schedule or work location other than posted on a temporary basis to provide coverage during vacations/training. Medium

  • This position is subject to DOT Anti-Drug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Plan (AMPP) regulations.

  • Must have working knowledge of organizational programs.

  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Valid Drivers license Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications For Position

  • 1-3 years Must have two (2) years' experience as a Field Technician or Service Technician.

Salary Range*:

$35.47 - $49.42

*The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience , as well as internal pay equity .
