The lab specializes in the processing, staining, and microscopic evaluation of tissue specimens, ensuring accurate and timely pathological assessments. Core services include wet tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, routine and special staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and in situ hybridization (ISH).</p><p><b>Internship Assignment Summary:</b></p><ul><li>Student will acquire clinical experience by working in the laboratory of a drug development company.</li><li>Support selected Anatomic Pathology and Histology (APH) operational tasks, such as specimen accessioning and tracking.</li><li>Coordinate and manage Pathologists’ calendar, including scheduling meetings, training sessions, and case reviews.</li><li>Act as the primary point of contact between Pathologists and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring timely and clear communication.</li><li>Observe analytical testing of specimens, including embedding, sectioning, and staining, and interpret and document test results.</li><li>Participate in quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.</li><li>Participate in lab meetings and assist with maintaining a safe work environment.</li><li>Assist with clerical tasks as needed.</li><li>Instruction and mentorship will be provided.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Education/Qualifications/Skills:</b></p><ul><li>Open to current undergraduate with Bachelor of Science degree (Biological Sciences/Biomedical).</li><li>Good organization and multitasking ability.</li><li>Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.</li><li>Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.</li><li>Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance team environment.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Labcorp is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer:</b></p><p>Labcorp strives for inclusion and belonging in the workforce and does not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind.
