Hybrid Accountant

About the position

We are seeking a dedicated Accountant to join our team and play a key role in maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of our financial records. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries, including prepaids, accruals, amortizations, and reclasses.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support month end and year end close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and financial statements are accurate.
  • Assist with variance analysis and provide explanations for fluctuations in financial results.
  • Manage the prepaid expense schedule, ensuring timely and accurate amortization.
  • Prepare monthly accruals for expenses, services, and other financial obligations.
  • Review invoices and supporting documentation to determine appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensuring proper documentation and audit support.
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial records.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of operational accounting experience
  • Experience with prepaids, accruals, and account reconciliation
  • Proficiency in accounting software and general ledger maintenance
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
