The Housekeeper at Center Harbor Inn cleans assigned guest rooms for check in, services assigned occupied rooms, responds to guest requests as they arrive, keeps all lobbies, hallways and public facilities (such as lobby restrooms, locker rooms, guest laundry rooms, pool areas, etc.) in a neat, clean, well-supplied condition.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Review daily assignment lists and develop an efficient cleaning strategy
  • Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas
  • Properly complete all four steps of room turnover: stripping, cleaning, stocking, and formatting
  • Maintain housekeeping supplies and equipment at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Identify and report maintenance or safety concerns to management
  • Provide friendly, professional service while interacting with guests
  • Work independently or collaboratively to complete daily assignments
  • Coordinate with the Houseman to assess team needs
  • Recognize issues requiring management attention and notify the Manager on Duty as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and via radio
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions and complete routine daily tasks

Compensation

  • Starting at $17.00 per hour, plus tips
  • Full-Time and Part-Time positions available
