Our company culture is built on a foundation of collaboration, innovation, and a passion for delivering exceptional results. **About the Role** As the Director of Data Science, you will lead the Global Data Strategy group in developing and implementing a centralized data strategy that drives business value and supports the Risk Finance organization's goals. Your primary responsibilities will include: * **Leading the Strategic Evaluation of Credit Metrics**: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for evaluating credit metrics, credit provision, and reserve for Senior Management in Risk and Finance. * **Ownership of Data Assets**: Own and manage precise information assets/packages within Risk Finance, and become a subject matter expert in the applicable tools (troubleshoot issues, reconcile results, identify enhancements and automation possibilities, and train other customers to drive adoption). * **Development of Preferred and Ad Hoc Reviews**: Develop and maintain preferred and ad hoc reviews used by Risk Finance and/or business partners; provide credit-associated analytical support. * **Key Analyses and Recommendations**: Develop and present key analyses and recommendations to Senior Management. * **Relationship Building**: Build and maintain relationships across Risk Finance portfolio groups and with partners in Risk, Controllership, Tech, etc. * **Selection-Aid**: Provide selection-aid with a strong emphasis on growing analytics that identify trends and opportunities in the portfolio which can be used to optimize Business and Risk decisions. **Required Qualifications** * **Advanced Experience**: Advanced experience working with a maximum of the following is required: SQL/Hive, Power BI/Tableau, Python/R, VBA, TM1. * **Excel and PowerPoint**: Experience working with a sophisticated degree of Excel and PowerPoint is required. * **ML Modeling**: Experience in ML modeling is a plus. * **Economic and Analytical Skills**: Solid economic and analytical skills; ability to work with large units of data and draw significant conclusions, empowering our business partners to make smart, data-driven decisions. * **Attention to Detail**: Superior attention to detail, alongside exemplary organizational and problem-solving skills. * **Results-Driven**: Must be results-driven and proactive with the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within tight timelines. * **Ambiguous Tasks**: Desire to work on ambiguous tasks, growing clarity while achieving successful and significant outcomes. * **Strong Work Ethic**: A robust work-ethic and strong interpersonal skills, showcasing the ability to build and maintain relationships and successfully collaborate with team members to achieve goals. * **Master's Degree**: Master's degree in advanced mathematics or statistical discipline is required. **Considerations for Sponsorship** Depending on factors including business unit requirements, the nature of the position, value, and relevant laws, arenaflex may offer visa sponsorship for certain positions. **Compensation and Benefits** The anticipated salary range for this position is $55.00 to $85.00 hourly + bonus + equity (if relevant) + benefits.
