Engineering Manager, International Expansion - Remote USA (*eligible states)
About The Role
In this role, you will lead the development of our Ruby on Rails and Elixir systems, guiding a team of engineers to implement innovative solutions that are crucial for our international expansion. You'll lead our international expansion team in driving improvements that enhance the customer experience in new markets, both during the initial rollout and as we scale. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional partners and managing integrations with our internal systems to ensure seamless operations across different regions. What You Bring To The Role
Minimum Requirements:
Proven track record in managing and scaling distributed, public cloud-native systems and services.
Hands-on experience in collaborating with machine learning teams.
Strong understanding of relational database systems (MySQL or PostgreSQL preferred).
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and inspire a team of engineers.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Extensive experience in Ruby on Rails development and architecture.
Experience in working on and improving performance of Jamstack based applications.
Experience with CRMs such as Salesforce.
Experience with Elixir or a willingness to learn and incorporate it into our tech stack.
Proven experience guiding a product launch into new international markets, including navigating the engineering work required for localization, regional payment gateways, and compliance.
