Electric Compliance & Risk Consultant, Senior

About the position The Senior Electric Compliance & Risk Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting and monitoring the compliance and risk management framework within PG&E. This position is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to applicable standards, laws, and regulations while identifying and mitigating operational risks. The consultant will work closely with various stakeholders to develop and implement effective compliance and risk management strategies, ensuring the organization meets its wildfire mitigation objectives and maintains trusted relationships with key stakeholders. Responsibilities • Leads the team in developing controls and mitigation plans and ensures they are implemented and effective. • Performs and oversees compliance and control testing, audits, or other validation processes and analyzes risk or compliance metrics. • May respond to regulatory data requests, investigations, audits, and other inquiries. • Identifies new/changing requirements or standards and ensures programs and tools are updated accordingly. • Verifies reports, audits documentation, and validates content in database/risk register. • Participates in or may lead root cause analysis exercises. • Participates in or may lead training as it pertains to the Emergency Program; in-person or WBT. • Participates in Emergency activation duties as assigned. • Works collaboratively with peers and partner organizations and divisions to develop and implement new or improved processes, controls and procedures to improve program compliance, efficiencies and customer satisfaction. • Act in a governance role for stakeholder and business communications related to regulatory compliance.
