Overview

Stryten Energy is looking for great additions to the Salina team! Distribution Center Workers fill Order Processors, Rotates, Warehouse, Plaque Room, and Dock Coordinator positions in our distribution center departments. Distribution center workers must work safely, efficiently produce high-quality products, and learn other positions on the line. We’re seeking people with positive attitudes, safety and quality orientations, and a team-oriented spirit. The best candidates are dependable and take pride in their work. Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

 
Bonus opportunities!
  • Quarterly Attendance Bonus - associates have the potential to earn up to $600 each quarter; just for showing up to work their scheduled hours!
  • Gainshare Bonus - hourly associates have the potential to earn up to 10% of their gross monthly pay; potentially $300 per month!
  • Production Bonus - associates have the potential to earn daily bonuses based on the plant hitting production goals; potentially up to $11.50 per hour in addition to your base pay!

Shifts are scheduled for 12 hours, and mandatory overtime may be required; weekend work is a part of all schedules.

 
DC Schedule:
  • A Shift: Day: Sun-Tues, every other Wed 
  • B Shift: Night: Sun-Tues, every other Wed

Responsibilities

  • Work with a multiple-person team in an area containing electrical powered machinery, conveyors, computers, and ventilation equipment to meet daily production targets
  • Follow safety and health regulations for the protection of self and co-workers.
  • Must learn and follow quality control specifications, maintain accurate and timely charts, forms, and other material control documents.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area in accordance with 5s requirements.
  • Comply with safety and health regulations for the protection of self and co-workers.
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing Procedures.
  • Comply with current Quality Systems requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Will be exposed to lead (dust, fumes, and molten form) and other hazards.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous standing, lifting, bending, twisting, stooping and pulling for duration of work hours
  • Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)
  • Must wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, and steel toed shoes, hearing protection, etc., as outlined in established department PPE policy.
  • Will carry or move short distances, wooden pallets weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to do some heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds.
Equipment Used:
  • Personal Protective Equipment as required.
  • Reach truck, walkie, clipboard, packing list, pen/pencil, voltmeter, J D Edwards computer system,and RF computer.
Education, Experience, Skills Required:
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in basic English to receive training, instructions and perform team responsibilities.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or related experience preferred.
  • Computer literate.
  • Must achieve passing score on pre-employment assessment
  • High school diploma preferred
