Position : Digital Marketing Trainee Property : The Cliff Hotel & Spa, LTD Location : Negril, Westmoreland, Jamaica Department : Sales & Marketing Schedule : Full-time. Nights, weekends, and holidays required Reports to : Managing Director We are seeking a Digital Media Trainee to join our creative team at The Cliff Hotel in Negril, Jamaica. This is a full-time, on-site role working directly with the Managing Director and alongside our existing digital media lead. This position is designed for someone early in their career who is deeply passionate about social media , visual storytelling, and digital culture . It is a career-building role with real responsibility, high output expectations, and hands-on exposure to luxury hospitality, live events, and digital marketing in Jamaica and the United States. While we work with UGC creators, offshore editors, and a small distributed content team, this role is hands-on. The Digital Media Trainee is responsible for both coordination and creation , ensuring content moves from capture to edit to publish, across both organic and paid channels. Consistency, taste, and stamina matter. What You Will Do Content Creation and Organic Publishing Create, edit, and publish a minimum of 100 organic posts per week across multiple social media platforms. Produce short-form video, reels, stories, and static content at speed while maintaining quality. Write captions that align with brand voice, tone, and audience expectations. Use editing, scheduling, and collaboration tools efficiently. Paid Social Campaign Support Support the execution of paid social campaigns across platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. Prepare and adapt creative assets for paid placement. Coordinate with leadership and external partners on campaign timing and objectives. Monitor basic performance metrics and flag learnings or issues. Ensure alignment between paid campaigns and organic content. Coordination Across the Content Team Coordinate daily with UGC creators, offshore editors, and internal contributors. Review incoming assets and quickly identify those that meet quality standards. Provide clear direction and feedback to ensure assets are usable and on brand. Maintain posting cadence by bridging creation, editing, and scheduling. Event Coverage Support digital coverage of events produced in Jamaica and the US. Execute pre-event buildup, live event posting, and post-event recap content. Capture behind-the-scenes and in-the-moment content that feels authentic and elevated. Work long days during events with fast turnarounds and limited downtime during peak periods. Brand and Quality Control Differentiate strong assets from weak ones quickly. Maintain consistent quality while producing content at scale. Adapt content style across hospitality and event brands while protecting overall aesthetic standards. Organization and Execution Stay organized while managing high volumes of assets, drafts, scheduled posts, and paid creative variations. Follow content plans while remaining flexible to real-time opportunities. Coordinate closely with leadership, operations, and event teams. Occasional On-Camera Presence Occasionally appear on camera for stories or reels when appropriate, though this is not a primary expectation.
