They work to ensure that goals or objectives are accomplished within prescribed timeframes and specifications. This position works closely with a Project Manager, functional area Subject-Matter Experts, and team members at all levels of the Firm in both Service Delivery and Global Shared Services. People: • Participates in project planning, story grooming, daily stand-up, post-mortem, and other project-related meetings. • Demonstrates Ryan’s core values by creating a positive, accountable work environment for a growing, entrepreneurial team. • Possesses exceptional communication skills with analytical/critical thinking abilities to analyze proposed technological solutions by also developing methods of effectively testing and evaluating technologies. • Demonstrates excellent research skills by identifying and linking relevant data sources together to enable meaningful insight related to the technology solution. • Assists with coordinating technology training. • Creates a positive team experience. Client: • Establishes and maintains strong relationships for project execution and delivery. • Escalates project issues to the appropriate stakeholders and manages risks with clarity, timeliness, and professionalism. • Assists Project Manager and/or Leadership team in developing and maintaining project plans based on business requirements, timelines, budgets, and required staffing resources. • Assists Project Manager in monitoring the integration of business requirements throughout the project life cycle. • Works closely with applicable departments to ensure successful execution of projects. • Demonstrates ability to document and translate requirements while making connections to business processes and potential risk and technology solutions. Value: • Analyzes existing business and system processes, and provides recommendations with regard to the implementation of tax automation. • Develops new process designs for tax automation. • Assists Development and QA to ensure the solution meets the expected business result. • Validates the Innovation Lab solution(s) to meet the business requirements and expected outcomes, as well as the standards of the Firm. • Develops and updates documentation relating to business/technical requirements. • Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accounting Information Systems, Business Computer Information Systems, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics. Must have 6 hours of Accounting or the ability to substitute technical courses for accounting hours, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, and a Major GPA of 3.25 or higher. • Desire to perform business analysis in a high-energy team environment • Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels Strong Differentiator: • Fluency in at least one programming language, scripting language, or automation platform. • Experience with one or more database platform. • Excellent communication with the ability to translate data into actionable insights. • Strong communication/interpersonal skills. Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have intermediate knowledge of bolthires Project, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, and Internet navigation and research. Functional knowledge of finance packages, HRIS, and CRM applications (e.g., Workday and Salesforce) are strongly preferred. Fluency in at least one programming language, scripting language, or automation platform is highly desired. Experience with one or more database platform is also a strong indicator for success in the role. Certificates and Licenses: • Valid driver’s license (required) • Six Sigma certification (preferred) • CSM Certified ScrumMaster (preferred) Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment: • Standard indoor working environment. • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer. • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the Firm in person and via e-mail and telephone. • Position requires regular interaction with clients and interface with external vendors in person and via e-mail and telephone. • Independent travel requirement: Up to 10-20%.
