AWS Cloud Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

VetsEZ (Veterans EZ Info, Inc) is seeking a Cloud Engineer to be a part of a remote team. This candidate should have experience in cloud-based technology , with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications. An ideal candidate is able to design, implement, test, and maintain cloud services platforms. The candidate must reside within the continental US. Responsibilities: • Work with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions. • Optimize performance, scale out and build resiliency in the platform. • Contribute to developing best practices for Infrastructure as Code, software build tools, and Continuous Integration. • Play a key role in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to the cloud • Design Native Cloud Application Architectures and optimize applications for AWS • Administration of Cloud services, monitoring, logging, and alerting. Requirements: • Has experience with AWS technologies including solid understanding of S3, EBS, EC2, EFS, RDS, ECS, IAM, ELB/ALB, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, KMS, System Manager, Route53, Secrets Manager. • Ability to code/script in NodeJS and Java, but also traditional programming languages such as JSON and YAML • Working knowledge of container technologies (e.g. Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, etc.) • Knowledge of networking fundamentals and network requirements for cloud to on premise connectivity • Experience with orchestration technologies (e.g. AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, etc.) • Experience with cloud-based software development tools and methodologies (e.g. Git, arenaflex/CD, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, Build Automation and Testing, etc.) • You must have experience in systems management in a cloud-computing environment including the use of virtualization, load balancing, auto-scaling, networked storage, etc. Benefits: • Medical/Dental/Vision • 401k with Employer Match • PTO + Federal Holidays • Corporate Laptop • Training opportunities • Remote Opportunity Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
