Aviation Solutions Production Planner

Job Description The Aviation Solutions Division provides direct project support for programs and platforms at Patuxent River Air Base and Webster Base in Southern Maryland. System aircraft design and development tasking drives projects for equipment removal and replacement, complex cable harness fabrication, aircraft installation efforts, and lab testing development integration. The Division Program Manager is currently searching for qualified and experienced candidates to join the Aviation Solution team to expand capabilities and provide operational excellence to the both the customer and war fighter. The Production Planner will assist with managing a major production effort in support of complex wire harness fabrication and installation tasking. Serves as the liaison between project management and planning, project team, quality control, engineering design teams and line management as the program develops and fabricates complex aircraft harness and equipment wiring integration. Will also have the following duties: • Works closely with project managers and material procurement leads to develop production build schedules, interfacing with government leadership on a regular basis to ensure parts/assemblies are delivered on or ahead of schedule. • Works with the program to create technical data and provide production flow documentation. • Works closely with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to develop and execute Dual Source Strategies on high-risk parts. • Prepares and implements project execution plans and identifies technical, manufacturing, and business resources needed for the program success. • Manages the programs budgets, quality, and schedule to meet programmatic deliverables for production efforts and funding applications. • Assesses issues and lead the team to develop resolutions that meet productivity, affordability, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. • Provides guidance to identify the need for technical back up for decision making to the project team. • Ensures program forecasts are updated accordingly and that all production resources are aware of their future demand and integration needs. • Identifies and mitigates technical and schedule risks to program execution. • Coordinates production priorities within the product line. This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas. Required Education, Experience, & Skills • High school diploma and at least 6 years of related experience • Knowledge of product transition to production as well as ramping production rate • Experience with arenaflex reduction, arenaflex take out, affordability, and creating arenaflex estimates • Experience interfacing with suppliers and customers • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership skills • Knowledge of arenaflex 365 • Technical background or experience working with avionic technicians and quality control inspectors for fabrication efforts Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Hazmat and tool control program experience Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
