Aviation : NDT Technician - Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI)

Position Title : NDT FPI Technician (Level 2 Certified)

Industry : Aeroderivative turbine

Location: Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ), Pulau Indah, Selangor

Working Hours: Monday - Friday (0830 to 1730) & Require shift work in future

Contract Duration : 12 months contract with PERSOL (renewal based on performance)

Salary Range : RM2,500 to RM3,500 (based on qualification & experience)

Interview Mode: Face-to-face

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI) on turbine components in line with procedures and industry standards.
  • Use appropriate NDT tools and methods to detect surface defects and verify part integrity.
  • Document findings accurately, including photos and detailed inspection reports.
  • Interpret and analyze FPI results, identifying defects and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintain thorough inspection records and ensure compliance with certification requirements.
  • Promote safety and quality by following all inspection protocols and best practices.

Who can apply?

  • Proven experience in conducting FPI inspections for aeroderivative turbine components.
  • Solid understanding of NDT principles and methodologies.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality control discipline.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience with other NDT methods: MPI, ECT, etc.
  • Knowledge of aeroderivative turbine operations & maintenance.

Additional Considerations

  • SKM / Diploma / SPM candidates with 1 year of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Fresh graduates (Machining, Manufacturing, Mechatronics) are welcome.
  • Not suitable for facility/machinery maintenance engineering roles.
