Adjunct Faculty in Human Resources Management, Online - Remote

Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to join our academics team. We are currently in search of a passionate professor for an online graduate level Human Resources Management class for the upcoming Fall quarter, starting October 6th. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction. • Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos. • Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience. • Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success. • Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated. • Adhere to University policies and procedures. • Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required. Job Skills: • Effectively communicate with all levels of the University. • Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology. • Demonstrated knowledge of academic evaluation. • Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives. • Must have strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner. Work Experience: • Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred. • 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources Management or other HR function preferred. • 3 years of Project Management experience required. Education: All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution to be considered. • Doctorate Degree in Human Resources Management, Human Resources Development, Organizational Leadership, Organizational Development required OR • Doctorate Degree in Business-related Discipline w/ Master's Degree with 27 graduate quarter credit hours (18 semester credit hours) in Human Resources Management or Human Resources Development required. Certificates, licenses, and registrations: • Professional certification in discipline specialty (if applicable). Other: • No travel. • Must be able to lift 1 lb. • Mobility within the office includes movement from floor to floor. • Access information using a computer. • Effectively communicate, both up and down the management chain. • Effectively cope with stressful situations. • Strong mental acuity.
