JobDescription Position Title: Account Specialist - Pittsburgh, PA - Medical Device Sales Position Overview This position is responsible for supporting sales generation for the Company’s OviTex product portfolio within the assigned territory. The Account Specialist will work as directed by the Territory Manager or Regional Sales Director, to develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. The successful candidate will be able to communicate complex clinical data and will be well organized to assist in efficiently developing and leveraging client relationships. Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Support Territory Manager or Regional Sales Director in planning and implementing sales development plan for assigned territory. • Prepare and implement materials to communicate complex clinical data with the goal of assisting surgeon in appropriate product selection based on patient co‑morbidities and wound classifications. • Collaborate with the firm’s Commercial Operations team to ensure successful outcomes for clients in assigned territory – hospitals, surgeons and patients. • Collaborate with the Regional Team to clinically support customer engagements. • Develop strong working relationships with surgeons, hospitals, and staff while providing in‑servicing, clinical education, and follow‑up support. • Assist in developing and implementing business plans to ensure short‑term revenue objectives are met while longer‑term opportunities are also developed and optimized in the assigned geographic area. • Maintain and update the firm’s CRM database, ensuring up‑to‑date client information is uploaded into the system. • Participate in national and regional commercial team meetings and calls as appropriate; share best practices with peers to ensure success is replicated across the team. Education and Experience • BA/BS or equivalent experience • The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of two years of sales and/or clinical experience in the life science industry or perioperative setting with knowledge of soft tissue repair in hernia repair, abdominal wall reconstruction or plastic/soft tissue reconstruction. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Knowledge of both clinical needs of physicians and mechanisms of action of host response to biologic implants. • Ability to identify potential market opportunities based on unmet client needs. • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize work appropriately. • Ambition and strong work ethic. • Ability to excel in a high‑energy, fast‑paced environment. • Strong communication (written, oral) • Relationship development skills • Strong judgment and decision‑making ability • Collaborative/team orientation • Position may require travel • Candidate required to possess a valid driver’s license Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. Frequent travel within the territory is required. Primary Location and Travel Must be located within the desired territory – frequent travel within the territory is required. We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be a field office‑based position although the incumbent will need to participate in face‑to‑face Corporate and Commercial leadership meetings as needed.
