# Company: LexisNexis Legal & Professional # Role: Account Manager, Research Intelligence (Midwest, US) ## About the team and the role Do you have experience in consultative selling and a track record with complex SaaS solutions, data analytics, and Artificial Intelligence? Our Research Intelligence team works with prominent research and funding institutions to help them optimize resource allocation, refine collaboration, and increase research efficiency. We provide SaaS solutions, data, analytics, and AI tools that give customers the insights they need to strengthen strategy and impact. As an Account Manager you will handle both new sales and the renewal of existing customer contracts. New sales focuses on expanding our Research Intelligence business by identifying prospects and upsell/cross-sell opportunities. Renewal management centers on nurturing and growing existing customer relationships. You will work with Customer Success Managers (CSMs), Product Management, and Marketing to achieve high renewal rates and maximize customer value and satisfaction. This role covers the Midwest Region – IL, IN, OH, KY and is home based (Illinois). ## What you will be doing day-to-day You will be expected to attain bookings targets for our Research Intelligence solutions portfolio and apply a consultative approach to translate client needs into pragmatic propositions aligned with company sales strategies and policies. You will create and execute account strategies that address needs across account levels, keep Salesforce records continuously accurate, and regularly review sales results and forecasts using tools like Clari and other sales enablement tools. Gathering, monitoring, and evaluating market information to provide feedback that enhances product development and go‑to‑market strategy will be part of your work. Participation in trade shows and conferences with predefined outcomes is required, as is integrating information from various sources to inform decisions and cultivating relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to support the company's strategic objectives. You will be expected to operate on operational, tactical, and strategic levels and to expand business with customers while collaborating within an international matrixed organization. ## What we require from you - Minimum of 3–5 years of direct sales experience, demonstrating expertise in a consultative, complex solution-sales approach. - Proven history of selling technology and solutions, and experience selling enterprise software within an international matrixed organization. - Proficiency in strategic account planning and management. - Experience with or collaboration alongside research administration and management functions, including knowledge of regional or national research programs, collaboration networks, and key leaders. - Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills. - Familiarity with Salesforce and Clari (and other sales enablement tools) for maintaining accurate sales records and forecasts. ## Compensation details Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based - Illinois: $83,800 - $155,600. Total Target Cash (TTC): $129,000 - $239,500. - If performed in Chicago, IL: Base pay $87,800 - $163,000; TTC $135,100 - $250,900.
